Who It's For
ECTS 519 is required for the Designated Subjects CTE Teaching Credential and the Bachelor degrees in CTE at CSUSB. It may also be applied to an MA degree if it is not completed while still an undergraduate. Be sure to enroll in both ECTS 519 and the ECTS 519 Lab in the same quarter. Both those doing distance learning and those doing skills documentation must still enroll in both the class and the lab, even though they will not be attending any class or lab sessions.
Anyone enrolling in ECTS 519 is expected to have already mastered basic computer skills in word processing, web browsing and the effective use of e-mail (anyone lacking these skills should take a basic computer course at a community college or adult school BEFORE enrolling in ECTS 519).

Whichever option you decide on, in order to get credit you must officially register for ECTS 519 at CSUSB. Anyone considering the Distance Learning or the Skills Documentation option should e-mail course instructor or Dr. Pendletin, Dr Scarcella or Mr Burks for specifics about getting started.
Distance Learning Option - for anyone with basic computer skills who is unable to come in for class and lab meetings.
Skills Documentation Option - For anyone with advanced computer skills who can demonstrate the ECTS 519 skills listed above.
Where & When
At least one section of the ECTS 519 course is scheduled every quarter. Quarters start in September, January, April and June.
