Who It's For
EVOC 335 is the focus course for the Bachelor of Vocational Education (BVE) Degree. It should be taken as soon after admission to CSUSB as possible, but it is a good idea to take the EVOC 501 and EVOC 519 courses before taking EVOC 335. Anyone planning on transferring from a community college is encouraged to complete the freshman math and English requirements at the community college before coming to CSUSB. It is also a very good idea to complete as many of the transferable lower division general education courses as possible at a community college.
What It's About
EVOC 335 is designed to present a basic overview of the field of vocational education and help each class member complete the Swan Bill Application (course credit for work and teaching experience) and develop a specific academic plan for completing the BVE Degree. The Swan Bill application procedure and degree planning are discussed in great detail and are the basis for many of the course assignments and activities. All course requirements will be explicitly spelled out at the first meeting of class so that each class member will be able to determine exactly what is expected, when it is expected and what the standards of acceptable performance are.
Course Materials
Anyone interested in signing up for the EVOC 335 course can access the materials referenced below right now or at any time before the course starts. It's a good idea to take a look at those materials soon as possible.

Where & When
EVOC 335 is usually offered two or three times each academic year (follow this link to the EVOC Projected Schedule for specific quarters, days and times that EVOC 335 will be offered). Classes are held once each week, for ten weeks in the evening, or on Saturday mornings, at the CSUSB campus.
To sign up for EVOC 335, it is necessary to file an Application for Admission to CSUSB as a degree seeking student (not as "EVOC only"), then register through the TRACS registration system (telephone or online).
