Fishing Three!

Here are a few pictures of a recent fishing trip once again to Mammoth, California. This is now becoming a family tradition for the men. Above is a pic of the family. The individuals that achieved outstanding Angling for the weekend were my father (the Bulldog), brothers (Nick and Frank), nephew (Chip), and a good friend of the family (Phil). Phil is not pictured above, but see below for more. Anyway, we left early in the morning (1:00 a.m.) to visit the streams of the High Sierra's. It was something! In some locations there was still snow on the ground. As you will see from the images that follow, it was nothing short of an excellent time. Our trip consisted of a four-day stay at a local motel (cabin like pad). Ok, we stayed in a motel...it made for good clean up. Not too mention, waking up early requires a good night sleep. Anyway, below tells the story. It should be noted for the record, my father (the Bulldog) caught the largest fish, followed by younger brother Frank catching the most, then my nephew Chip, then my older brother Nick, friend Phil, then I. We simply HOOKED-UP!

Here we are fishing upper Owens River. Moving from left to right, the Bulldog, my brother Frank, and Nick. The wind was a bit hectic that day. Sure, we hooked up, but it made conditions more challenging for Angling.

This picture was taken on a stream just under Rock Creek. The loop you see on this cast could have been better, still it did bring in a nine inch natural Brook Trout. I caught this fish using a dry fly elks hair.

On the way back from Mammoth we stopped at Randsburg. This is an old gold mining town and it seems mining is still underway. Geese, we were all looking for Wyatt Earp. Anyway, this pic is a shot of Phil and the Bulldog. These two gents worked together on many construction projects. Some say these folks have "Gone Prospecting."

Here is a nice pic of the Bulldog after catching a nice size rainbow trout on a Rock Creek stream. He almost lost this one.

In the evening after the fish were cleaned, the guys got together for a card game.

This picture was taken from a restaurant on the main highway (395) during the way home. Here is Frank and his son Chip. We caught breakfast just after leaving the Sierra's.

My brother Nick packing our luggage and gear on the way home. He is a work horse that never complains...like "Nike," he says "Just Do It." We can all learn from him.

My Brother Frank and Duty Driver. Thanks for getting us back safe and thanks for a wonderful trip everyone!
