Where Some of Our Alumni Have Found Employment
Listed below are links to some of the educational institutions where people who have completed our Career & Technical (formerly known as Adult & Vocational) Teacher Education courses have found employment as teachers and/or in positions related to educational support. Eventually there will be direct links to pages that provide information about specific employment opportunities. In the meantime the links provided here will lead to pages that provide general information about each institution listed. Presently there are six major categories of educational institutions in California that hire people who have completed our courses: (1) Regional Occupational Programs, (2) Community Colleges, (3) Training Academies, (4) Adult Education Programs, (5) Private Professional and Vocational Schools, and (6) Correctional Institutions.

Regional Occupational Centers and Programs (ROCP)To teach ROCP courses requires a Preliminary Designated Subjects CTE Teaching Credential. While it is possible to start teaching before completing any coursework, anyone who has completed at least our ECTS 501 course will be better prepared, and more likely to be successful, than anyone who has not.

Community CollegesWhile California Community Colleges no longer require "teaching credentials" they do require some verification of formal preparation for teaching.
