RE: EVOC 501 Course Evaluation

1. How much experience have you had with online courses? - Absolutely none, I m sorry you were the first and I had a lot of dumb questions.

2. How did EVOC 501 compare to other courses you have had? - I did enjoy the on-line situation. I beats having to drive in all that traffic. But I do think one may miss out a bit, when your not in a classroom environment, learning and talking to other classmates.

3. How would you describe the directions for course assignments? - I think all the assignments were helpful in helping new teachers learn how to conduct certain aspects of their class.

4. How would you describe the examples of course assignments? - The Examples were excellent. There were very few times I did not understand what was expected of me through the examples. The times I did not understand was my own fault for not reading instructions better.

5. How would you describe the organization of the E-TEXT? - Once I got it figured out, it went very smooth. I don't really see where there could be any improvement made. The E-text works well in my opinion.

6. How would you describe feedback provided by the instructor? - Excellent feed back from Dr. Pendleton. Always very prompt with his replies and very helpful with even my silly questions.

7. What did you like best about the online EVOC 501 course? - Again, I think I enjoyed being able to work out of the comfort of my home and office. I really don t like driving !!

8. Which of the assignment(s) did you find to be of most value? - I think the most valuable assignment I had was the power point assignment (LP2) because, it allowed me to learn more about power point and I was able to make what I teach a little easier to understand. For some reason, when one can read it and follow along with pictures it makes things much easier for one to understand. My students indicated to me that they came away understanding the dictating machine better, than when I just explained it and showed them without the power point. So this assignment was definitely valuable to me and my future classes.

9. Which of the assignment(s) did you find to be of least value? - I found assignment FA3 Class Roster SCHOLARS NAMES AND COMMENTS to be least valuable to me.

10. What is your overall impression of the value of EVOC 501? - I enjoyed EVOC 501, just as I have enjoyed the other EVOC classes I have taken this Spring. I am very glad I got to know the instructor. Dr. Pendleton seems like a very nice man and he seems to want to help in any way he can. I find this to be a very rare quality in an on-line professor and I enjoyed our e-mails to one another. I think some of the assignments will be very useful to me in future classes that I teach and I am glad I took the time to take the class at Cal State San Bernardino. Thank you Dr. P
