RE: EVOC 501 Course Evaluation

1. How much experience have you had with online courses? - This was my first real online course. I have participated in some webinars but nothing as well done as this is.

2. How did EVOC 501 compare to other courses you have had? - I have recently started another online course at UCSD. I believe I have to say I would rather do the EVOC courses. The EVOC 501 was much better structured and much more informative. The reading was easier to comprehend. I am not putting UCSD down at all or their instructors.

3. How would you describe the directions for course assignments? - The directions were great, easy to read and comprehend. I had no problem with the directions; there was plenty of information to back it all up.

4. How would you describe the examples of course assignments? - I loved the examples for the assignments; whenever I was confused I always referred back to the examples (which was most of the time). I wish other online courses had such great examples to go along with their assignments.

5. How would you describe the organization of the E-TEXT? - In one word, EXCELLENT! Every single thing was completely organized. I am a person who has to have order in her life. So yes, the organization was perfect for me.

6. How would you describe feedback provided by the instructor? - The feedback from the instructor was phenomenal! No matter what sort of feedback I needed I received it. It was ALWAYS helpful.

7. What did you like best about the online EVOC 501 course? - I liked the DL due date's page; I kept that on my desktop and it made all the assignments easy to stay on top of. I actually can't pick one thing, because the whole course was perfect and very beneficial to me.

8. Which of the assignment(s) did you find to be of most value? - I found the LP1 and LP2 lesson plans to be of most value. This is my first time teaching and it really helped me to prepare for my first lessons in my classroom.

9. Which of the assignment(s) did you find to be of least value? - I would have to say the LP1 & LP2 video recordings, only because I become a nervous wreck in front of any kind of lens. I love taking pictures of everyone and video recording but I do NOT like it the other way around. I can't really say it wasn't of value though. I can't say there was anything in this course that wasn't of some value one way or another.

10. What is your overall impression of the value of EVOC 501? - My overall impression of the value of the EVOC 501 course; I would have to say it was priceless, without this course I would not have known what I was doing in my classroom. I gained knowledge right from the beginning on the manner I should be presenting lessons to my class. This was my first time teaching in a classroom setting so this course helped me in more ways than you will know. I can't wait to begin the next two courses.

Thank you Mr. Pendleton for administering such an awesome course, and for being an EXCELLENT instructor. I have really enjoyed taking this course. I really had my doubts about an online course but after this one, I much prefer an online course than a traditional course any day.
