The first and second books described below are required. The third book is optional, but highly recommebded. Anyone who will be taking EVOC 518 should acquire these books and start reading them without delay (i.e. - right now would be good).

In order to facilitate access to the books listed, they can be ordered through amazon.com by simply clicking on the book title and then completing the online order information. The two required reading books are also available in most college and public libraries, but the paperback editions are well worth owning. Some scholars find it helpful to underline various passages and write notes in the margins. This practice is highly encouraged, but only with books that are owned by the scholar doing the underlining!
